We see the next wave before it has a name.
Then we make it work.
XPLICIT The wave in front of us
AI agents: software that acts, not chat windows that wait
An AI agent is software that is given a goal, works out the steps, uses tools and systems to carry them out, and comes back when the job is done or when it needs a decision. The difference from a chatbot is not intelligence. It is initiative. We call the years this changes the Agent-First Era. The broader term is agentic AI: systems built around models that can plan, act and check their own work, rather than only generate text.
Why it is a wave, not a feature
Every wave before it moved work from people to systems: the spreadsheet, the web, the cloud, mobile. Agents move the next layer, the doing itself. Once software can act, the question for every organisation is no longer which tool to buy, but what the people and the agents are each for.
What it changes inside a company
Roles, approvals, hand-offs and the shape of a team. That is an operating model, not an IT project, and it is where most agent projects quietly stall. The organisations that benefit first are the ones that redraw how work flows before they add the technology, and then let agents take the parts that are repeatable and measurable.
Where XPLICIT comes in
We help leadership teams in Belgium and across Europe see the wave clearly, choose the few places where AI agents change the economics, and make it work in daily operations. Strategy, the operating model, and the hard middle between the slide and Monday morning.
